Background and experience

Lawyer/MSc Bus Agnar Langeland has run his own legal practice in Bergen since 2017. The practice is focused on insurance and finance as well as strategic corporate advice.

Langeland has more than 40 years of experience from Norwegian and international business, both within executive management and business law:

Equinor (Statoil) – 10 years – finance, legal and negotiations – Norway and China.

Storebrand – 17 years – Executive Vice President for international reinsurance, marine & energy insurance and Senior Vice President for the western region of Norway.

Thommessen law firm – 15 years as business lawyer/associate partner with international and Norwegian clients.

Service on the board of directors (non-executive director) of several companies in Norway, UK and USA.

Mr Langeland specialises in insurance, banking and finance. He has advised a number of Norwegian and international insurance companies within all typical issues and subjects. He also advises businesses in connection with claims towards insurance companies and banks.

Mr. Langeland also provides general legal advice within corporate law. He may also consider accepting directorship (non-executive) and is currently chairman/member of the board of two businesses in Norway
